Dental Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our dental practice as a Dental Assistant. This hybrid role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, supporting both the dental team and front desk operations to ensure smooth, efficient patient care and office workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Dental Assistant Duties (Chairside):

• Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures.

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions).

• Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.

• Take and process dental X-rays.

• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.

• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed.

• Manage inventory and restock supplies.

Receptionist Duties (Front Desk):

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, welcoming manner.

• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments.

• Verify insurance information and process claims.

• Collect payments and manage billing.

• Maintain patient files and ensure data entry accuracy.

• Handle patient check-in/check-out procedures.

• Coordinate with clinical staff for scheduling and patient flow.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Dental Assistant certification or diploma preferred.

• Experience with dental office software

• Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional appearance and attitude.

• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in a dental or medical office.
