Position Summary
The Dental Assistant supports dentists and clinical teams in delivering high-quality patient care by preparing treatment areas, assisting during dental procedures, maintaining clinical hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth patient flow within the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assistance
Assist dentists during dental procedures and treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms and instruments before procedures.
Provide chairside assistance during examinations and treatments.
Handle suction, instrument passing, and patient support during procedures.
Infection Control & Sterilization
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment as per protocol.
Maintain hygiene and infection control standards in treatment areas.
Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste.
Patient Care & Support
Prepare patients for treatment and make them comfortable.
Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions as directed by the dentist.
Manage patient movement and ensure smooth patient flow.
Inventory & Equipment Management
Maintain stock of dental materials and consumables.
Monitor instrument condition and report maintenance needs.
Ensure dental equipment is functional and properly stored.
Documentation & Coordination
Assist in maintaining patient records and treatment details.
Coordinate with front desk and clinical teams for patient scheduling and readiness.
Support treatment coordinators when required.
Required Skills & Competencies
Basic knowledge of dental instruments and procedures.
Strong hygiene and sterilization practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic.
Good communication and patient handling skills.

Qualifications & Experience
Dental Assistant Certification / Relevant Healthcare Training preferred.
Freshers with training or experienced assistants may apply.
Prior dental clinic experience preferred.
