Key Responsibilities

Eye Exams: Conduct routine eye inspections and assess visual acuity, color vision, and hand-eye coordination.
Diagnosis: Identify vision problems (e.g., nearsightedness, astigmatism) and ocular diseases (e.g., glaucoma).
Prescription & Treatment: Prescribe and fit eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications.
Patient Education & Referrals: Counsel patients on eye care and refer them to ophthalmologists for surgical needs.
