Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Networking Engineer with a strong background in Layer 2/3 switching, optical fiber and Cat 6 cabling, and firewall configuration. The ideal candidate must be capable of fault finding, troubleshooting, and resolving network-related issues independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Layer 2 & Layer 3 switches.

• Configuration and administration of routers and firewalls (specifically Sophos Firewall).

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Cat 6 and Optical Fiber cabling (laying, termination, and testing).

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues in enterprise networks.

• Maintain network documentation including diagrams, labeling, and port maps.

• Work with IT teams to monitor network health, speed, and availability.

• Provide on-site support and ensure minimal downtime.

• Coordinate with vendors if required for escalated hardware or connectivity issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in networking roles.

• Strong understanding of network topologies, VLANs, and subnetting.

• Practical knowledge of Layer 2/3 switch configuration (Cisco, HP, etc.).

• Experience with Sophos Firewall setup, policies, NAT, VPN, etc.

• Knowledge of fiber optics, patch panels, and structured cabling standards.

• Excellent fault-finding and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently at a client site.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma/B.Tech/B.Sc in IT, Electronics, or a related field.

• Relevant networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP/Sophos Certified) will be an added advantage.

Location & Timings

• Location: RK Puram, New Delhi (Client Site)

• Work Hours: Standard Office Hours (Mon–Sat) or as per site requirements

Salary

• ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month (Based on experience and interview performance)
