Required Skills
Strong knowledge of erection methodology for precast and steel structures.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and connection details.
Good understanding of lifting equipment, load charts, rigging tools, and safety protocols.
Coordination skills for managing multiple contractors and crane operations.
Strong problem-solving abilities and site execution discipline.
Good communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute erection activities for precast elements as per approved drawings, erection sequence, and method statements.
Coordinate with project managers, design team, logistics, contractors, and crane operators for smooth execution.
Ensure proper lifting, rigging, handling, and alignment of precast members such as wall panels, beams, slabs, staircases, POD units, etc.
Conduct pre-erection readiness checks including foundation levels, line-outs, access planning, and material availability.
Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure 100% compliance with HSE standards at site.
Verify lifting tools and tackles (slings, shackles, clutches, spreader beams) prior to use and ensure they meet safety certification requirements.
Inspect erected members for quality parameters—alignment, leveling, plumb, joint finishing, and connection details.
Maintain documentation such as DPR, quality checklists, tolerance reports, and connection records.
Resolve site issues by coordinating with the design/engineering team for any deviations or technical clarifications.
Support continuous improvement by suggesting optimized erection methods, safety measures, and efficiency improvements.
