Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Service Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and

servicing of commercial vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of

technicians and electricians, ensuring timely completion of repair work, and maintaining vehicle

uptime to keep vehicles roadworthy and operational.

Key Responsibilities

 Supervise and coordinate daily activities of technicians and electricians.

 Diagnose vehicle issues and ensure proper repair and maintenance procedures are

followed.

 Allocate manpower and resources effectively to complete jobs within committed timelines.

 Ensure commercial vehicles are repaired, serviced, and made road-ready as per company

standards.

 Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and regular service activities.

 Monitor job progress and provide technical guidance to the service team.

 Maintain service records, job cards, and repair documentation.

 Ensure compliance with safety standards and workshop procedures.

 Coordinate with customers, drivers, and internal departments regarding vehicle status and

repair updates.

 Manage workshop productivity and ensure optimal utilization of technicians and

electricians.

 Support breakdown and emergency service activities when required.

 Identify training needs and improve team performance through guidance and coaching.

Required Qualifications

 Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a

related field.

 Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial vehicle service, maintenance, or workshop

operations.

 Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle systems, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.

 Experience in handling and managing technicians and electricians.

 Good planning, scheduling, and team management skills.
