Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Field Engineer to join our operations team. In this role, you will serve as our primary technical representative on-site at client facilities. Your main responsibility will be to evaluate client floor environments, understand their equipment demands (such as material handling systems, manual trolleys, and tow trucks), and qualify the exact product specifications needed. You will bridge the gap between initial site assessment, product deployment, and ongoing technical support.
Key Responsibilities
Site Survey & Application Engineering: Visit client manufacturing plants, warehouses, and industrial sites to evaluate floor conditions, operational constraints, and equipment usage.
Product Qualification & Selection: Analyze load capacities, towing speeds, and environmental factors to recommend and qualify the right industrial components (e.g., heavy-duty wheels, casters, and mobility solutions).
On-Site Testing & Trials: Coordinate and oversee physical product trials on the client’s shop floor. Ensure that the deployed solutions meet all safety, stress, and durability standards.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Document precise site dimensions, technical requirements, and trial outcomes to brief the internal design and techno-commercial office teams for accurate quoting and supply.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Degree (B.E./B. Tech) or Diploma in Industrial, Mechanical, Electric Electronic, or Production Engineering.
Experience: 0 to 3 years of experience in field engineering, site operations, or technical application support within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Key Skills:
Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical principles, load-bearing calculations, and industrial equipment.
Ability to read, interpret, and verify technical drawings and product datasheets.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical, action-oriented approach on the shop floor.
Effective communication skills to interact comfortably with both shop floor operators and plant managers.
