We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabrication Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components according to specifications. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, using a variety of tools and machinery, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.
Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using tools such as shears, saws, torches, grinders, and welding equipment.
Set up and operate fabrication machinery including drill presses.
Perform MIG/TIG/arc welding and other joining processes.
Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and compliance with design specifications.
Repair or modify existing metal structures and components as needed.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Fabrication Mechanic or similar role in metal working.
Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
Skilled in various welding techniques and metal cutting tools.
Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Knowledge of workplace safety practices and PPE requirements.
