Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of petrol and diesel vehicles.
Conduct standard service and maintenance work, including oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing, and fluid checks.
Expertly fit, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical parts (e.g., engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension, exhaust systems).
Perform engine tuning and conduct emissions tests.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively to identify issues accurately.
Complete all jobs in a timely manner while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
Provide clear explanations of repairs and services to the Service Manager/Customers.
Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 1 to 6 years of hands-on experience as a car mechanic.
Technical Expertise: Proven expertise in servicing, maintaining, and repairing both petrol and diesel cars.
Part Fitting: Demonstrable skill in fitting a variety of automotive parts.
Tools: Proficiency in using manual tools, power tools, and modern diagnostic equipment.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for prolonged periods, and work in various physical positions.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to getting the job done right the first time.
Teamwork & Integrity: Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Automotive Mechanics or a related field.
Valid driver’s license.
Certification from a recognized automotive program is a plus.
