Job Summary
The Technical Partner is responsible for carrying out vehicle inspection, diagnosis, repair, preventive maintenance, and quality checks for multi-brand passenger vehicles. The role requires adherence to company SOPs, safety standards, and productivity targets while ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations
Perform periodic maintenance services as per manufacturer recommendations.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, brake, engine, transmission, and AC-related issues.
Use diagnostic scanners and workshop equipment effectively.
Carry out repairs according to company quality standards and SOPs.
Conduct pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and final quality checks before vehicle handover.
Test drive vehicles whenever required to confirm fault rectification.
Productivity & Quality
Achieve daily productivity and efficiency targets.
Ensure first-time-right repairs with minimum rework.
Maintain accurate job card documentation.
Follow workshop cleanliness (5S) and safety practices.
Properly handle customer vehicles and company tools.
Customer Support
Explain technical findings to the Service Advisor/Technical Lead.
Recommend preventive maintenance and additional repair requirements.
Support timely vehicle delivery.
Inventory & Tools
Use workshop tools responsibly.
Report damaged or missing tools immediately.
Ensure proper utilization of spare parts and consumables.
Prevent wastage and unnecessary replacement of parts.
Compliance
Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
Comply with company policies, attendance, and discipline standards.
Participate in technical and behavioral training programs.
Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Certification in automobile servicing is an added advantage.
Experience
2–5 years of experience in servicing multi-brand passenger vehicles.
Fresh ITI candidates may be considered for Trainee Technical Partner positions.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of automobile systems.
Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding.
Mechanical and electrical repair skills.
Basic computer knowledge for job card updates.
