2-wheeler mechanic

Key Responsibilities

• Engine Inspection & Diagnosis

• Inspect diesel engines to identify mechanical and performance issues.

• Diagnose engine faults using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Check engine components, fuel systems, cooling systems, and lubrication systems.

• Repair & Maintenance

• Perform engine servicing, repairs, and overhauling.

• Replace or repair defective engine components.

• Carry out oil changes, filter replacement, belt replacement, and other preventive maintenance.

• Repair fuel injection systems, pumps, injectors, and related components.

• Troubleshooting

• Identify causes of abnormal noise, smoke, overheating, starting problems, and low engine performance.

• Perform necessary repairs and verify the vehicle after repair.

• Follow manufacturer-recommended repair procedures.

• Workshop Operations

• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment safely.

• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the workshop.

• Ensure proper handling and storage of tools and spare parts.

• Quality & Safety

• Complete repair work according to required quality standards.

• Follow workshop safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.

• Conduct final inspections and test runs after completing repairs.

• Documentation

• Record inspection findings, repairs completed, parts replaced, and labour performed.

• Inform the Service Advisor/Workshop Manager about additional repairs required.

• Maintain accurate job-card and service records.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems

• Engine troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Knowledge of fuel injection and cooling systems

• Ability to use mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment

• Good problem-solving ability

• Basic computer knowledge

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to safety and quality

Qualification & Experience

Experience: 1–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
Freshers/trainees: Can be considered based on technical knowledge and willingness to learn.

• It is a Full Time Mechanic job for candidates with 1 - 6+ years Experience.
