Senior Copywriter

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Copy Writer role based in Mumbai, focused on pharma and healthcare marketing. The Copy Writer will develop clear, engaging, and medically accurate copy for a range of channels, including digital campaigns, websites, social media, emailers, detail aids, patient education materials, and print collaterals. The role involves interpreting medical and marketing briefs, translating complex scientific information into accessible, audience-appropriate language, and ensuring all content aligns with brand strategy and regulatory guidelines. The Copy Writer will collaborate daily with account managers, medical writers, designers, and strategy teams to brainstorm concepts, craft campaign messaging, and refine content based on feedback. Responsibilities also include proofreading, adapting global content for local markets, maintaining consistency in tone and style, and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.

Qualifications

• Strong copywriting skills for pharma/healthcare brands, with the ability to simplify complex medical concepts while maintaining scientific accuracy.

• Experience creating content for digital and traditional channels (web, social media, email campaigns, presentations, print, and patient/doctor communication tools).

• Ability to work from creative briefs, develop campaign ideas, and collaborate with creative, strategy, and client-servicing teams.

• Excellent command of written English, including grammar, syntax, and style; strong proofreading and self-editing abilities.

• Understanding of pharmaceutical/healthcare marketing, industry regulations, and compliance considerations (experience with regulated content is an advantage).

• Strong research skills to review references, interpret clinical or product information, and ensure all claims are supported and correctly represented.

• Comfort working under deadlines, managing multiple projects, and adapting copy based on feedback from clients and internal stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, English, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field; prior agency or healthcare communication experience is preferred.
