Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and compare prices, quality, and delivery terms.
Prepare, process, and issue purchase orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, discounts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Coordinate with stores, inventory, production, accounts, and other departments to understand material requirements.
Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Verify purchase invoices, delivery challans, and other relevant documents.
Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, quotations, and order tracking reports.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, material quality, and supplier discrepancies.
Support cost-reduction initiatives and identify alternative suppliers where appropriate.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approval procedures.
