Marketing Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing professional who will support the Retail Marketing Manager in driving ground-level market understanding, customer acquisition and new store launch execution.

The role involves being on the ground, understanding local markets and customers, coordinating with vendors and ensuring marketing activities are executed effectively.

1. Market & Catchment Understanding

· Conduct ground-level market visits for existing and upcoming stores.

· Understand the local customer profile, residential catchment and retail environment.

· Assess the potential of new locations and share key observations with the Retail Marketing Manager.

· Identify local opportunities and challenges that can impact store performance.

· Conduct basic market and customer surveys when required.

2. Product & Customer Understanding

· Understand local customer preferences across Staples, FMCG and other key categories.

· Identify products and categories that have strong local relevance.

· Gather customer feedback and market insights to support product and marketing decisions.

· Share ground-level observations with the Retail Marketing Manager and relevant teams.

3. New Store Launch Execution

· Support end-to-end marketing execution for new store launches.

· Coordinate with promoters, printers, activation agencies and other vendors.

· Manage pamphlet printing, distribution and local marketing activities.

· Ensure marketing activities are executed on time and as planned.

· Conduct regular market visits during the pre-launch and launch period.

4. Local Marketing & Store Support

· Execute local marketing activities to drive awareness and customer visits.

· Identify suitable local activation opportunities.

· Monitor execution quality and ensure activities are completed effectively.

· Support existing stores with local marketing initiatives based on business requirements.

5. Coordination & Reporting

· Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for marketing activities.

· Maintain timelines and follow up on ongoing activities.

· Share regular ground-level updates, customer feedback and market observations with the Retail Marketing Manager.

· Support the Retail Marketing Manager in implementing marketing plans.

Candidate Profile

· 2+ years of experience in Marketing / Retail Marketing / Field Marketing / FMCG / Retail / Consumer Business.

· Strong on-ground execution and coordination skills.

· Good understanding of local markets and customer behaviour.

· Comfortable travelling across Bangalore for market visits and store activities.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and take ownership of execution.

· Experience in retail or FMCG marketing will be an advantage.

• It is a Full Time Marketing job for candidates with 2 - 6+ years Experience.
