1. Job Purpose
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, store footfall, sales revenue and market presence of the company's bakery, cake, pastry, confectionery and related products.
The role will manage offline and digital marketing activities, promotional campaigns, local marketing, corporate sales support, product promotions, customer engagement and market expansion.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Marketing Strategy & Planning
Develop monthly, quarterly and annual marketing plans.
Prepare marketing strategies for cakes, pastries, bakery products, patties, mithai and other food products.
Identify new market opportunities and customer segments.
Plan marketing activities according to business and sales targets.
Develop campaigns for festivals, occasions, new launches and seasonal products.
Plan local-area marketing activities for individual stores/outlets.
B. Brand Promotion & Awareness
Increase brand visibility and awareness in the local market.
Develop and execute branding activities for bakery outlets.
Coordinate with the Graphic Designer/Creative Team for posters, banners, brochures, standees, social media creatives and promotional materials.
Ensure consistency of brand logo, communication, product presentation and promotional messages.
Plan outdoor branding, mall/store branding, local advertisements and promotional activities.
C. Digital Marketing & Social Media
Manage and monitor social media marketing activities.
Plan campaigns for Instagram, Facebook, Google and other relevant platforms.
Coordinate with the creative team for reels, posts, product photographs and promotional content.
Develop campaigns for new products, offers, festivals and special occasions.
Monitor digital leads, customer engagement and campaign performance.
Coordinate with online delivery platforms and other digital sales channels wherever applicable.
D. Sales & Business Development Support
Work closely with the Sales Team to achieve monthly sales targets.
Generate new business opportunities through corporate, institutional, HORECA and bulk-order clients.
Identify potential corporate offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, cafés and institutions for bulk bakery/cake orders.
Support the team in acquiring new customers and maintaining existing customers.
Develop promotional schemes to increase sales.
Monitor sales performance by outlet/product/channel and recommend corrective actions.
E. Store & Local Marketing
Develop marketing plans for individual bakery outlets.
Increase customer footfall through local promotional activities.
Plan nearby-area marketing campaigns around each store.
Coordinate with store teams to execute promotional offers.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, product range and promotional campaigns.
Conduct market visits regularly and submit market feedback to management.
F. Product Marketing & New Product Launch
Coordinate with Production/R&D and Sales teams for new product launches.
Develop launch plans for new cakes, pastries, bakery products, mithai and seasonal products.
Collect customer feedback regarding products, taste, pricing, packaging and presentation.
Identify customer preferences and emerging bakery trends.
Support product positioning, pricing communication and promotional strategy.
G. Promotions & Campaign Management
Plan and execute campaigns for:

Bulk Orders

Discount/Promotional Offers
Track campaign performance and calculate ROI wherever possible.
H. Corporate & Institutional Marketing
Develop corporate client relationships for bulk cake, bakery and confectionery orders.
Visit corporate offices, IT parks, institutions and other potential clients.
Prepare and present product catalogues and quotations.
Follow up with potential clients and convert leads into business.
Maintain a database of corporate and institutional customers.
Develop repeat-order opportunities.
I. Customer & Market Research
Conduct regular market research.
Study customer preferences, buying behaviour and product demand.
Monitor competitor products, pricing, offers and marketing activities.
Collect customer feedback from stores, online platforms and field activities.
Identify opportunities for increasing sales and market share.
J. Marketing Budget & Vendor Management
Prepare and monitor the marketing budget.
Coordinate with advertising agencies, printing vendors, photographers, designers and other marketing vendors.
Negotiate with vendors and ensure cost-effective marketing activities.
Verify marketing material quality and timely delivery.
Maintain records of marketing expenses and activities.
K. Team Management
Manage and guide Marketing Executives/Field Marketing staff.
Set daily, weekly and monthly targets.
Monitor team performance.
Conduct regular review meetings.
Train team members on products, promotions, customer handling and market activities.
Ensure proper field reporting and follow-up.
L. Reporting & MIS
Prepare and submit regular reports including:
Daily/Weekly Marketing Activity Report
Monthly Marketing Performance Report
Campaign Performance Report
Lead Generation Report
Customer Acquisition Report
Corporate Client Report
Competitor Analysis Report
Store-wise Marketing Activity Report

4. Qualification
Graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or related field.
MBA/PGDM in Marketing will be preferred.
Additional Digital Marketing certification will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and digital marketing platforms.
5. Experience
4–8 years of relevant experience in Marketing/Sales & Marketing.
Experience in Bakery, Cake, Confectionery, Food, FMCG, QSR or Retail industry will be preferred.
Experience in managing field marketing and digital marketing activities will be an advantage.
Candidates with experience in corporate/B2B sales and local-store marketing will be preferred.
