Job Title: Gold Loan Officer / Gold Loan Executive

Job Summary

The Gold Loan Officer is responsible for managing the entire gold loan process—from customer acquisition and evaluation of gold ornaments to loan disbursement, documentation, and repayment monitoring. The role involves ensuring accurate gold appraisal, maintaining compliance with company policies, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Handling & Sales

• Identify and approach potential customers for gold loans.

• Explain gold loan products, interest rates, terms, and repayment options.

• Assist customers with loan applications and resolve queries.

2. Gold Appraisal

• Evaluate and test the purity and weight of gold ornaments using standard appraisal tools and techniques.

• Ensure accurate valuation to determine eligible loan amount.

• Maintain transparency with customers during appraisal.

3. Loan Processing & Documentation

• Complete KYC verification and documentation as per company/ RBI guidelines.

• Enter customer details, gold item details, and loan data in the system.

• Ensure safe and secure storage of pledged gold.

4. Loan Disbursement & Repayment Management

• Process loan disbursement through approved channels.

• Monitor due dates, follow up on interest payments, and send reminders.

• Handle part-payments, renewals, and loan closures.

5. Compliance & Security

• Comply with all internal policies, audit requirements, and RBI regulations.

• Maintain accurate records of pledged gold and loan files.

• Ensure safety protocols in the storage of ornaments.

6. Branch Operations

• Support daily branch activities related to gold loan operations.

• Coordinate with the branch manager and other departments for smooth operations.

• Assist in inventory checks and audits.
