Job Responsibilities: Argon Welder (TIG Welder)

1. Welding Operations

• Perform TIG/Argon welding on stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum components.

• Weld and fabricate frames, brackets, coil headers, sheet metal parts, and AHU components.

• Set welding parameters according to material thickness and job requirements.

2. Material Preparation

• Clean and prepare surfaces before welding (grinding, brushing, fitting).

• Cut, bend, and shape metal parts when required.

• Fit components accurately before welding to ensure proper alignment.

3. Quality & Inspection

• Ensure welds meet strength, finish, and visual quality standards.

• Check for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, or incomplete penetration.

• Follow company quality guidelines for AHU/HVAC fabrication.

4. Equipment Handling

• Operate TIG welding machine, grinders, cutters, and other fabrication tools.

• Maintain welding equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures while welding, cutting, and handling metals.

• Use PPE such as welding mask, gloves, aprons, and safety shoes.

• Ensure proper ventilation when welding stainless steel or aluminum.

6. Documentation & Coordination

• Work as per technical drawings and supervisor instructions.

• Complete assigned welding jobs within time targets.

• Coordinate with fabrication, assembly, and production teams for daily tasks.

7. Additional Responsibilities

• Assist in fabrication work when welding load is low.

• Support with AHU unit testing or repair welding as required.

• Maintain cleanliness of the workstation.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 0 - 3 years of experience.
