Job Description – TIG/ARC Welder
Perform TIG and ARC welding for heavy engineering maintenance and repair work.
Weld and repair MS, SS and other metal components as per job requirements.
Carry out welding of machine parts, structures, pipelines, supports and equipment.
Read and understand basic engineering drawings and welding symbols.
Perform fabrication, repair and modification work as instructed by the supervisor.
Select appropriate welding electrodes, rods, current and welding parameters.
Inspect welded joints for proper strength, alignment and quality.
Handle welding machines, grinders and other related tools safely.
Maintain welding equipment and report any machine/tool defects to the supervisor.
Follow work instructions, quality requirements and departmental procedures.
