Manufacturing Welder

We are hiring for Welding Engineer,
Roles and Responsibilities:

1.

Should have hands on experience in Preparation of WPS, PQR & WPQ

2. Coordinate welding procedure qualification requirements with the testing laboratories

3. Review, comment and approve supplier welding procedures and welder performance

qualifications

4. Should have hands on experience in Preparation of Welding Map, Repair procedure

5. Good Knowledge of codes & Std viz: ASME, PED etc

6. Good Knowledge of NDT techniques

7. Analysing engineering drawings for welding requirements

8. Understanding the customer tender documents and prepare the welding procedures

9. Conducting failure analysis and cause analyses on welding issues.

10. Leading welding related projects

11. Good knowledge of PWHT requirements

12. Maintaining and ensuring all welding equipment is in working order

13. Preparing SOP for welding processes

14. Knowledge of robotic welding programming

15. Knowledge of latest welding technologies

16. Preparing technical reports and work summaries

17. Respond to shop and field questions and/or non-conformances in a timely manner.

18. Familiar with systems viz: ERP, Microsoft Excel, Word & Power point applications

19. Identify process improvement opportunities and work with relevant stakeholders to

implement them via projects / initiatives

20. Conduct Process Audits to drive process standardization

Should be familiar with ISO 9001 audit process

2. Good Communication Skills,

4. Focusing Continuous Improvement approach, Customer Centric etc.

5. Knowledge of welding machine and tracks calibration

6. Should be familiar with ASME audit process & IS3834 certification

Knowledge/Skill Requirement

1.

Welding processes – basic, advantages, limitations, welding inspection

2. Use of measuring Instruments – Tape, Vernier, Micrometre, Bore gauge, Weld Gauges

3. NDE techniques – advantages, limitations, acceptance criteria

4. Manufacturing & Fabrication processes

5. Interpretation of Codes & Standards – ASME /PED etc

6. Drawing reading interpretations

7. Quality Systems

8. Hands on Microsoft Excel, Word

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 3 - 6+ years Experience.
