Watchman

We are looking for a watchman to join our team at Taj Engineers. The role involves operating machinery, assembling products and maintaining quality standards on the production floor. This position offers an in-hand salary of ₹10,000 - ₹17,000 and an opportunity to be part of a growing and essential industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Basic Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Main Gate Security

  • Remain present at the main gate during duty hours.

  • Ensure that the gate is opened and closed as required.

  • Prevent unauthorised entry into the factory premises.

  2. Visitor Management

  • Record the names, contact details, purpose of visit and entry/exit times of visitors.

  • Inform the concerned department before allowing visitors inside.

  • Issue visitor passes wherever applicable.

  3. Vehicle Entry and Exit

  • Monitor the entry and exit of cars, trucks, tempos and other vehicles.

  • Record vehicle numbers and purposes of visits.

  • Verify delivery challans, gate passes or other relevant documents as instructed before allowing material movement.

  4. Material Movement Control

  • Ensure that raw materials, finished goods, scrap and company assets do not leave the premises without proper authorisation.

  • Check outward material documents and obtain confirmation from the authorised department when required.

  • Immediately report any suspicious or unauthorised movement of materials.

  5. Employee Entry and Exit

  • Monitor employee entry and exit as per company rules.

  • Ensure that employees and contract workers follow applicable security procedures.

  • Report any unusual activity or violation to the supervisor.

  6. Factory Premises Monitoring

  • Keep watch over the main gate, parking area, compound and surrounding premises.

  • Conduct periodic rounds of designated areas.

  • Report suspicious persons, unattended packages, damage or security concerns.

  7. Fire and Emergency Safety

  • Immediately inform the supervisor in case of fire, accident, injury or any emergency.

  • Know the locations of fire extinguishers, emergency exits and emergency contact numbers.

  • Assist in raising the alarm and guiding emergency responders when required.

  8. Registers and Record Keeping

  • Maintain visitor, vehicle and material movement registers accurately.

  • Record unusual incidents, complaints and security-related observations.

  • Hand over all registers, keys and pending matters to the next shift or supervisor.

  9. Discipline and Professional Conduct

  • Remain alert, punctual and attentive throughout the shift.

  • Avoid sleeping, unnecessary mobile phone use or leaving the assigned post unattended.

  • Speak politely with employees, visitors, suppliers and transporters.

  10. Reporting to Management

  • Report security breaches, disputes, suspicious activities or violations immediately to the designated supervisor.

  • Follow instructions issued by management regarding gate security and factory access.

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding factory operations and company information.

Job Requirements:

The minimum qualification for this role is below 10th and 1 - 6+ years of experience in manufacturing or a related field. Attention to detail, physical stamina and ability to follow instructions are very important for this role.
