Manufacturing VMC Machine operator

A VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Toolroom Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining vertical milling CNC machines to manufacture high-precision tools, dies, and prototypes.

♦️1. Machine Setup & OperationSet up, align, and secure raw workpieces, custom fixtures, and work-holding devices onto the VMC bed.Install, load, and calibrate cutting tools, end mills, drills, and tool holders into the machine carousel.Set accurate work coordinate systems (WCS) and precise tool height offsets.

♦️2. Program Execution & Editing :

engineering programs from CAM software into controller systems like Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or Mitsubishi.Read and interpret CNC codes (G-code and M-code) to make manual adjustments or edits at the machine interface.Conduct air-cuts or test runs to check for tool interference, collisions, or program errors.

♦️3. Precision Machining & Monitoring Machine highly critical toolroom components like core inserts, slider blocks, punches, and mold bases Continuously monitor the machining process, adjusting rapid rates, feed rates, and spindle speeds to optimize surface finish and minimize tool wear.Troubleshoot real-time errors such as unexpected tool breakage, chatter, or dimensional deviations
