Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
Operate VMC machines safely and efficiently.
Load and unload workpieces and fixtures.
Run CNC programs as per production requirements.
Monitor machining operations and make minor offset corrections.
Ensure components are produced within specified tolerances.
Setup Activities
Perform machine setup as per job requirements.
Install and align fixtures, jigs, and cutting tools.
Set tool offsets and work coordinates.
Verify first-piece approval before mass production.
Quality Control
Inspect machined components using measuring instruments.
Maintain dimensional accuracy as per drawings.
Identify and report quality deviations.
Ensure compliance with customer and company quality standards.
Machine Maintenance
Perform daily machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
Check coolant levels, lubrication systems, and machine condition.
Report machine abnormalities and breakdowns promptly.
Documentation
Maintain production records and machine logs.
Record tool usage, rejection data, and downtime.
Follow work instructions and process documentation.
