Manufacturing VMC Machine operator

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor VMC (Vertical Machining Centre) machines for precision components.

• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.

• Set up jobs, fixtures, tools, and cutting parameters as per production requirements.

• Perform tool setting, offset correction, and basic machine adjustments.

• Check machined components using vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, etc.

• Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

• Monitor production quality and identify machining defects.

• Carry out basic machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.

• Follow production schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures.

• Maintain production and inspection records.

• Coordinate with the Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of VMC/CNC machining operations.

• Knowledge of Fanuc / Mitsubishi / Siemens controls will be an advantage.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, tool offsets, and machining parameters.

• Knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement instruments preferred.

• Experience in bearing, automotive, precision engineering, or manufacturing industry will be preferred.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
