Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and responsible VMC Operator to join our machine workshop. The candidate will be responsible for operating CNC VMC machines, setting jobs, checking dimensions, and ensuring quality production as per drawings and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC VMC machines efficiently and safely.
Read and understand engineering drawings and job dimensions.
Perform job setting, tool setting, and workpiece alignment.
Understand and make basic corrections in CNC programs/offsets.
Set work offsets and tool offsets.
Check finished components using vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, etc.
Maintain required accuracy and surface finish.
Monitor cutting tools and replace tools when required.
Follow production schedules and maintain quality standards.
Keep the machine and work area clean and organized.
Follow all safety procedures while operating the machine.
Required SkillsExperience as a VMC Operator/Setter.
Knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operation and setting.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds & feeds, and tool offsets.
Knowledge of measuring instruments.
Ability to work with precision components and maintain tight tolerances.
Good discipline, attendance, and willingness to learn.
Experience3–5 years of relevant VMC operating/setting experience preferred.
Freshers with basic CNC/VMC knowledge may also be considered.
