VMC Machine operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VMC Operator to operate and maintain Vertical Machining Centers for precision machining of components. The candidate will be responsible for setting up machines, executing machining operations, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate VMC machines to perform milling, drilling, tapping, and other machining operations.

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.

• Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces as per job requirements.

• Perform basic CNC program loading and minor editing (if required).

• Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy and quality.

• Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges, etc.).

• Maintain proper documentation of production and inspection records.

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.

• Coordinate with the quality and maintenance teams for any issues.

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operations.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T (preferred).

• Familiarity with cutting tools and machining parameters.

• Basic understanding of CNC programming (Fanuc/Siemens preferred).

• Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.

• Problem-solving ability on the shop floor.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 1 - 4 years of experience.
