VMC OPERATOR ( Vertical Machining  Center )
Responsibilities

• Setup and Operation: Set up and operate VMCs by loading materials, selecting tools, and adjusting machine settings.

• Production Monitoring: Monitor machine operations to ensure precision, consistency, and efficient production flow.

• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and are within specified tolerances.

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues to keep the machines running smoothly.

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.

• Safety and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area and strictly adhere to all safety protocols.

• Documentation: Document production data, machine performance, and operational procedures as required. 

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Previous experience as a VMC or CNC operator is highly desirable.

• Technical Skills:

  • Ability to program and operate VMC machines, preferably with knowledge of Fanuc controls.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Familiarity with CAM software like Mastercam is a plus.

• Personal Attributes:

  • Strong attention to detail and precision.

  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Education: A high school diploma is typically required, with a vocational training or a diploma in Mechanical Engineering being a significant plus.
