Key Responsibilities
Develop and modify CNC programs for VMC machines using CAD/CAM software.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, 2D/3D models, and GD&T specifications.
Select suitable cutting tools, fixtures, feeds, and speeds.
Optimize machining cycles to improve productivity and reduce machining time.
Perform machine setup verification and trial runs.
Coordinate with Tool Room, Design, and Production teams for tool development.
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are maintained.
Maintain program documentation, process sheets, and tooling records.
Follow safety and preventive maintenance procedures.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of VMC Programming (Fanuc/Siemens Controllers).
Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, PowerMill, NX, or SolidCAM.
Understanding of sheet metal dies, press tools, fixtures, and jigs.
Knowledge of G-Code, M-Code, tooling, and machining parameters.
Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and CMM.
Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.
