VMC Machine operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate VMC machines as per production requirements.

• Perform machine setup independently.

• Load and run CNC programs on Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controllers.

• Set tool offsets and work offsets (G54, G55, etc.).

• Load, unload, and inspect machined components.

• Read and understand engineering drawings.

• Select and change cutting tools as required.

• Monitor machining operations and ensure quality standards.

• Conduct first-piece inspection and in-process inspection.

• Use measuring instruments for dimensional verification.

• Troubleshoot minor machine and tooling issues.

• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S practices.

• Follow safety procedures and production targets.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of VMC machine operations.

• Experience with Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi controllers.

• Understanding of CNC machining processes.

• Knowledge of tool setting and offset setting.

• Ability to read engineering drawings.

• Understanding of machining parameters such as feed, speed, and depth of cut.

• Knowledge of fixtures, vices, and job setting.

• Basic CNC program editing knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITI (Machinist/Turner/Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, precision engineering, or machine shop environments.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 2 - 6+ years Experience.
