Job Opening – VMC Operator | Tool Room| 12 Hours Shift

We are hiring for the position of VMC Operator – Tool Room for our manufacturing facility in Bhosari, Pune.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and independently set VMC machines for precision tool-room components.

• Machine dies, mould components, punches, inserts, jigs, fixtures, electrodes, and other precision components.

• Perform machine setup, job clamping, tool setting, work offset and tool offset setting.

• Read and understand 2D engineering drawings and 3D models.

• Understand GD&T, tolerances, surface finish, and datum requirements.

• Select suitable cutters, tools, holders, and machining parameters.

• Read and make basic edits in CNC programs (G-code/M-code).

• Work on Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi CNC controls.

• Inspect components using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.

• Ensure components are machined within specified tolerances and required surface finish.

• Support tool/die modification, correction, repair, and maintenance activities.

• Monitor tool wear and make necessary offset corrections during machining.

• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S, safety, and quality standards.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in VMC operation and setting, preferably in a Tool Room / Die Shop / Mould Shop.

• Good knowledge of precision machining and tool-room components.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.

• Basic CNC programming and program editing knowledge.

• Good knowledge of cutting tools, tool steels, cutters, feeds, speeds, RPM, and machining parameters.

• Good knowledge of precision measuring instruments.

• Ability to work with tight tolerances and high-precision components.

• ITI / Diploma in Machinist, Tool & Die Making, CNC/VMC, Mechanical, or relevant qualification.

Preferred Experience:

Candidates with experience in Press Tools, Dies, Injection Moulds, Jigs & Fixtures, Tool & Die Maintenance, or Precision Tool Room Machining will be preferred.
