Key duties include machine setup with tools and fixtures, first-piece inspection, routine machine maintenance, quality control of finished parts, and maintaining accurate production records. Essential skills involve reading blueprints, knowledge of machine operations and maintenance, precision measurement, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup: Install and align tools, fixtures, and workpieces on the VMC machine according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Operation: Operate the VMC machine during production, monitoring operations for accuracy and efficiency.
Quality Control: Conduct first-piece inspections and ongoing checks of finished parts using measuring instruments to ensure they meet quality specifications and dimensional tolerances.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of the machine. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine malfunctions, programming errors, or worn tooling.
Documentation: Maintain records of machine operations, including setup details, production output, and maintenance activities.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
