VMC Setter

Responsibilities:

Set up VMC machines according to production plans and component requirements.
Prepare jigs, fixtures, and tools as per job specifications.
Load and prove out CNC programs provided by the programmer.
Conduct first-piece inspection and handover to operator for mass production.
Perform machine offsets, tool presetting, and minor adjustments during batch runs.
Support preventive maintenance of machines.

Requirements:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Production.
2–4 years’ experience as a VMC Setter.
Knowledge of tooling, fixture setting, and machining sequences.
Ability to read engineering drawings and inspection instruments (Vernier, micrometer, CMM basics).
