Job Summary

LMT Tools India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for skilled Production Operators to join its manufacturing team. The selected candidates will be responsible for operating CNC Turning Machines, Grinding Machines, and End Mill Grinding Machines to manufacture high-precision cutting tools and machined components.

The role requires strong attention to quality, adherence to production schedules and safety procedures, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Turning, Grinding, and End Mill Grinding Machines as per production requirements.

• Set and monitor machines, tools, fixtures, and workpieces.

• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.

• Perform tool setting, offset adjustments, and basic machine corrections.

• Inspect components using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, and other precision instruments.

• Ensure components are manufactured according to specified quality standards.

• Monitor machine performance and identify abnormalities during production.

• Maintain production output as per the assigned production schedule.

• Follow quality control procedures and maintain required production and inspection records.

• Follow company safety, 5S, housekeeping, and EHS procedures.

• Identify opportunities for reducing rejection, improving productivity, and minimizing machine downtime.

• Coordinate with the Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve operational issues.

• Maintain proper handling and storage of tools, components, and equipment.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/production.

• Experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:

• Precision Engineering

• Cutting Tool Manufacturing

• CNC Machining

• Tooling

• Grinding

• Hobbing

• Machine Tool Industry

• Knowledge of CNC machine operation and basic machine setting.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensional tolerances.

• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.

• Willingness to work in shifts.
