Job Summary
The Trainee Supervisor – Production (Dyeing Unit) will undergo structured training in textile dyeing operations and production management. The role is designed for fresh graduates with a strong academic background in Chemistry who aspire to build a career in textile manufacturing. The trainee will learn dyeing processes, production planning, quality standards, chemical handling, and shop-floor supervision while assisting senior supervisors in achieving production targets safely and efficiently.
Qualification
B.Sc. in Chemistry
Knowledge of textile chemistry will be an added advantage.
Experience
Fresher
Internship or industrial training in a textile or chemical industry is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations
Assist in supervising daily dyeing production activities.
Learn and monitor batch dyeing processes as per production plans.
Ensure proper machine loading and unloading under guidance.
Observe production parameters and report abnormalities to senior supervisors.
Coordinate with operators and helpers to ensure smooth workflow.
Process Monitoring
Understand dyeing recipes, chemical dosing, and process parameters.
Monitor temperature, pH, processing time, and liquor ratio as per standard operating procedures.
Maintain production records and batch reports.
Quality Control Support
Assist in shade matching and colour consistency checks.
Coordinate with the Quality Department to resolve quality-related issues.
Help identify defects and support corrective actions.
Chemical Handling
Ensure correct identification and handling of dyes and chemicals.
Learn proper chemical storage practices.
Follow chemical safety procedures at all times.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Report unsafe conditions immediately.
Participate in safety training and toolbox meetings.
Documentation
Maintain production logs and shift reports.
Record production data accurately.
Assist in preparing daily production summaries.
Coordination
Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments.
Communicate effectively with operators, helpers, and senior supervisors.
