Manufacture, assemble, and fit new injection moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, and tooling as per engineering drawings.
Perform preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance of moulds and tooling.
Inspect mould components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy.
Repair damaged mould components by machining, polishing, grinding, welding, or replacing parts.
Operate conventional tool room machines such as:
Lathe Machine
Milling Machine
Surface Grinder
Cylindrical Grinder
Radial Drilling Machine
EDM (Electrical Discharge Machine)
Wire Cut EDM
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and mould assembly drawings.
Assemble and trial moulds before releasing them to production.
Perform fitting, scraping, lapping, polishing, and alignment of precision components.
Ensure mould cooling lines, ejector systems, sliders, and lifters are functioning properly.
Carry out mould modifications based on engineering change requests (ECR).
Maintain dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments such as:
Vernier Caliper
Micrometer
Height Gauge
Dial Gauge
Bore Gauge
Slip Gauges
Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Design departments during tool trials and troubleshooting.
Reduce mould downtime through timely maintenance and repairs.
Maintain proper records of mould history, maintenance, and spare parts replacement.
