The Molding Die / Tool Room Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and modification of injection molding dies, molds, and tooling components. This role ensures all tools and molds are available and functioning optimally to support production schedules. The engineer also contributes to process improvements, tool design modifications, and safety practices within the tool room.

Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, maintain, repair, and modify injection molding dies and tools.

Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and molds to ensure minimal downtime.

Collaborate with production and design teams to resolve tooling-related issues.

Troubleshoot tool failures and provide rapid corrective actions.

Maintain accurate records of tooling maintenance, repairs, and modifications.

Operate machines such as lathes, grinders, milling machines, and EDMs.

Support new mold trials and provide feedback on tool design and functionality.

Ensure all safety and quality standards are met in tool handling and repair.

Manage inventory of tool room parts, spares, and consumables.

Provide technical guidance to tool room technicians and apprentices.
