Proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding on Stainless Steel (SS), Mild Steel (MS), and Carbon Steel.
Basic knowledge of welding on Aluminum (if applicable).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Experience in preparing workpieces by cutting, grinding, beveling, and cleaning before welding.
Knowledge of selecting the correct tungsten electrodes, filler rods, shielding gases (Argon), and welding parameters.
Capable of performing butt, fillet, lap, corner, and groove welds.
Familiarity with welding in 1G, positions (depending on experience).
Ability to maintain proper arc length, heat input, and weld penetration.
Knowledge of root pass, filler pass, and capping techniques.
Skilled in using measuring instruments such as measuring tape, vernier caliper, steel rule, and fillet gauges.
Experience in operating angle grinders, polishing machines, and cutting tools.
Understanding of common welding defects such as porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, cracks, and burn-through, and methods to prevent them.
Knowledge of WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) and following welding procedures.
Familiar with visual inspection and maintaining acceptable weld quality.
Understanding of workplace 5S, housekeeping, and safety practices.
Proper use of PPE including welding helmet, gloves, safety shoes, and protective clothing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication team.
Willingness to work in shifts and meet production targets.
