Role Summary
The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machines manufactured and supplied by Mettechnik. The role also includes supporting customers after sales, ensuring machine performance, and providing timely technical service at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and test machines at customer locations.
Perform breakdown service, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues.
Carry out preventive maintenance and routine service checks.
Support manufacturing and assembly activities when required.
Diagnose machine faults and provide quick technical solutions.
Coordinate with internal production, design, and sales teams for service-related support.
Explain machine operation, safety, and maintenance procedures to customers.
Prepare service reports, inspection notes, and repair records.
Maintain service tools, spare parts, and technical documentation.
Travel to customer sites for installation and service calls when needed.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of machine installation, servicing, and repair.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational problems.
Strong communication and customer handling skills.
Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and machine specifications.
Practical knowledge of tools, instruments, and workshop procedures.
Willingness to work on site and travel as per service requirements.
Basic computer knowledge for service reports and communication.
Preferred Qualification
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
Experience in industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or technical service will be preferred.
