Job Summary
The Robotic Welding Machine & Roll Forming Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining robotic welding systems and roll forming machines used in the production of solar mounting structures, frames, and related components. The role ensures product quality, production efficiency, workplace safety, and adherence to manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
Robotic Welding Operations
Set up and operate robotic welding machines according to production requirements.
Load and unload materials and components into welding fixtures.
Monitor welding parameters and machine performance.
Inspect welded parts for dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
Perform routine machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
Roll Forming Operations
Set up and operate roll forming machines for manufacturing solar mounting profiles and structural components.
Verify material specifications before production.
Monitor profile dimensions, straightness, and surface quality during production.
Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and minimize scrap.
Ensure production targets are achieved as per the daily production plan.
Quality Control
Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Record production and quality data accurately.
Identify and report quality deviations and non-conformities.
Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Safety & Housekeeping
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S practices.
Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
Ensure compliance with ISO, quality, and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Welding Technology, or related field.
2–5 years of experience operating robotic welding and/or roll forming machines.
Experience in solar structure, steel fabrication, sheet metal, or manufacturing industries preferred.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of robotic welding systems and welding processes (MIG/MAG preferred).
Understanding of roll forming machine setup and operation.
Ability to read engineering drawings and production specifications.
Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality inspection methods.
Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance knowledge.
Knowledge of production documentation and reporting.
