Roles & Responsibilities:
Set up and operate radial drilling machines for drilling, boring, tapping, reaming, and countersinking.
Select appropriate cutting tools (drills, taps, reamers) based on job requirements.
Adjust machine settings such as spindle speed and feed rate.
Clamp and align heavy workpieces securely.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and job cards accurately.
Measure dimensions using instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Coordinate with supervisors, fitters, and quality teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
ITI (Fitter/Machinist/Turner) or equivalent preferred.
2–5 years of experience in radial drilling operations (heavy engineering/fabrication industry).
Knowledge of materials like MS, SS, CI, alloy steel.
Basic understanding of measuring instruments and mechanical drawings.
