Job Description – QMS (Quality Management System)
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO standards.
Prepare, review, and control SOPs, procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
Ensure all documents are properly controlled and maintained.
Plan and coordinate internal quality audits.
Track and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support external audits, customer audits, and certification audits.
Monitor compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
Maintain quality KPIs and prepare monthly quality reports.
Conduct employee awareness and QMS training programs.
Ensure implementation of quality policies across all departments.
Handle non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
Coordinate with production, purchase, stores, HR, and other departments for QMS compliance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, and Lean practices.
Maintain calibration records and quality documentation, where applicable.
Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
Skills Required:
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Understanding of documentation and document control.
Internal audit knowledge.
CAPA and root cause analysis.
Good communication and coordination skills.
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Qualification:
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification preferred.
Experience:
2–5 years in QMS or Quality Assurance.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Timely closure of audit findings.
Document revision and control accuracy.
Internal audit completion as per schedule.
CAPA closure within target dates.
Compliance with ISO and customer requirements.
Reduction in non-conformities.
On-time submission of quality reports.

To maintain the complete Quality Management System (QMS) by ensuring all departments update and follow their task sheets on time, maintaining all QMS documents and quality records, monitoring department-wise compliance, tracking pending actions, coordinating with department heads for timely resolution of issues, ensuring implementation of corrective and preventive actions, keeping the organization audit-ready at all times, and submitting a comprehensive weekly compliance and task status report to the Managing Director (MD) with completed activities, pending points, delays, corrective actions, and improvement plans.
