Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical parts and assemblies.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards (GD&T preferred).
Perform dimensional inspection using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators, and CMM (if applicable).
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF / customer-specific quality requirements.
Guide and supervise junior QC inspectors and trainees.
Allocate inspection tasks and monitor inspection accuracy and productivity.
Train team members on inspection techniques, documentation, and quality tools.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and traceability documents.
Review and approve First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, incoming inspection reports, and final inspection records.
Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Analyze quality issues, customer complaints, and internal rejections.
Participate in root cause analysis using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto analysis.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Stores to resolve quality concerns.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and rework.
Assist in supplier quality evaluations and vendor audits when required.
Support customer inspections, audits, and quality reviews.
Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, etc.).
Excellent understanding of measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems.

Effective communication and coordination skills.
Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5–8 years of experience in Quality Control within a mechanical manufacturing environment.
Prior experience in a senior or lead QC role is preferred.
Factory / shop-floor environment.
May require extended hours during audits, inspections, or urgent production requirements.
