Job Description

Industry: Sheet Metal Fabrication

Experience: 15+ Years

Salary Budget: ₹60,000–₹70,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quality Head to manage and lead the quality department in our sheet metal fabrication unit. The candidate should have strong knowledge of quality systems, process improvement, customer quality requirements, and quality standards in the sheet metal manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the overall quality function, ensuring product quality and process compliance.

Implement and maintain ISO quality management systems.

Develop and review PFMEA, FMEA, Control Plans, and inspection standards.

Ensure quality control at incoming, in-process, and final inspection stages.

Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Handle customer complaints, quality audits, and supplier quality issues.

Monitor rejection, rework, scrap, and customer complaint rates.

Ensure compliance with drawing specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.

Lead internal audits, process audits, and continuous improvement activities.

Manage and train the quality team to maintain quality standards.

Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Purchase departments to resolve quality issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 15 years of experience in Quality, preferably in sheet metal fabrication , Sheet-metal or automotive manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of PFMEA, FMEA, ISO 9001, and quality management systems.

Experience in sheet metal processes such as laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, and fabrication.

Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, 8D, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, and SPC.

Experience in customer and supplier quality audits.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.

Salary

₹60,000–₹70,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.

Preferred Candidate: An experienced Quality professional with strong technical knowledge and proven leadership skills in the sheet metal fabrication industry.
