Job Overview: To manage metrology and laboratory inspection activities, ensuring accurate measurement systems, First Article Inspection (FAI) compliance, and product conformance to customer and engineering requirements. Responsibilities: Perform and coordinate First Article Inspection (FAI) activities. Manage metrology laboratory operations and inspection plans. Validate dimensional layouts for new and modified components. Operate and support advanced inspection equipment. Ensure calibration and maintenance of quality measuring instruments. Generate FAI reports and PPAP documentation where required. Support new product introduction and engineering change validations. Conduct MSA studies including GR&R. Support internal, customer, and certification audits. Requirements: Expertise in dimensional metrology and inspection techniques. Knowledge of FAI, PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, and PFMEA. Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings. Experience with CMM operations and programming preferred. Knowledge of MSA, GR&R, SPC, and calibration systems.
