Key Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer-
Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products.
Ensure products meet customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
Inspect sheet metal parts, fabricated components, electrical panels, and assemblies for defects.
Verify dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier, calliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and Measuring Tape.
Conduct visual inspections for welding quality, painting/powder coating, fitment, and finishing.
Identify quality defects and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Prepare Inspection Reports, Quality Checklists, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and Daily Quality Reports.
Coordinate with Production, Purchase, PPC, Design, and Stores to resolve quality issues.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and ISO 9001 standards.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Participate in internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain complete quality documentation and inspection records.
Ensure customer complaints are investigated and resolved in coordination with relevant departments.
Promote 5S, safety, and quality awareness on the shop floor.
