ob Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Quality Control Head who can own the entire quality function, not just audit reports. This role requires someone who understands shop-floor realities, enforces quality discipline, and reduces rejection, rework, and customer complaints—without excuses.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end quality control across incoming, in-process, and final inspection
Develop, implement, and maintain QC systems, SOPs, and inspection plans
Ensure compliance with ISO / customer quality standards (as applicable)
Analyze rejection trends, root causes, and drive corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
Coordinate with Production, Purchase, and Stores to resolve quality issues
Handle customer complaints, audits, and internal quality reviews
Train and monitor QC inspectors and technicians on quality standards
Ensure calibration and proper use of measuring instruments
Prepare and present quality reports, dashboards, and MIS to management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and cost of poor quality
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality processes
Practical experience in QC tools (7 QC tools, root cause analysis, etc.)
Ability to stand firm on quality decisions, even under production pressure
Experience handling audits and customer interactions
Good documentation, reporting, and communication skills
Strong leadership and shop-floor control mindset
Qualification
Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Production, or relevant discipline
Experience
4 to 6 years of relevant QC experience in a manufacturing setup
Prior experience leading a QC team is mandatory
