The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all footwear products meet the company’s quality standards before dispatch. This is an individual contributor role requiring hands-on inspection, strong technical understanding of footwear components, and the ability to monitor quality at every stage of production.
Conduct inspections of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished footwear.
Check stitching quality, sole bonding, alignment, finishing, packaging, and overall product durability.
Ensure all products meet size, design, and quality specifications.
Monitor quality at each stage of production (cutting, stitching, lasting, soling, finishing).
Identify defects, deviations, and root causes.
Implement corrective and preventive actions with the production supervisor.
Maintain QC reports, defect records, and inspection sheets.
Prepare daily/weekly quality summaries for management review.
Maintain quality documentation for audits.
Inspect incoming materials from suppliers to ensure they meet required standards.
Report any quality concerns to purchase/management for timely action.
Ensure products are manufactured as per company quality guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and QC discipline on the production floor.
Recommend process improvements to enhance quality consistency.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality control within footwear manufacturing.
Strong understanding of shoe components (upper, insole, outsole, last, laces, etc.).
Knowledge of production processes: cutting, stitching, lasting, assembly, finishing.
Ability to identify defects quickly with attention to detail.
Basic computer skills for reporting (Excel, email).
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently without supervision (individual role).
