The Quality Head is responsible for defining, implementing, and sustaining quality systems across the organization to ensure zero-defect manufacturing, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. This role owns end-to-end quality—from incoming materials to outgoing finished goods—and acts as the final authority on quality decisions.
Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with company and customer requirements.
Define quality policies, SOPs, inspection plans, and control standards across IQC, IPQC, and OQC.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
Ensure quality compliance at all stages: raw material, in-process, assembly, packing, and dispatch.
Analyze defects, trends, and root causes.
Approve or reject material and take final decisions on quality-related issues.
Handle customer complaints, field failures, and audits professionally and effectively.
Prepare and present corrective and preventive action (CAPA) reports and 8D responses.
Coordinate with customers for trials, approvals, and quality improvements.
Lead and mentor the Quality team (IQC, IPQC, OQC inspectors).
Plan and conduct regular training for operators, supervisors, and QC staff.
Build a strong quality culture across production and support functions.
Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance.
Work with vendors on corrective actions, quality improvement, and approvals.
Ensure compliance with material specifications, RoHS, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure accurate maintenance of quality records, reports, and traceability documents.
Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
Maintain control over drawings, specifications, and change management.
Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience: 4-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance & Control in a manufacturing environment.
Prior experience as Quality Manager / Senior Quality Engineer is preferred.
