Quality Control Engineer

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Quality Engineer with a strong mechanical background to support and improve our manufacturing and product quality processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in quality systems, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and final products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

• Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation such as control plans, inspection reports, work instructions, and SOPs.

• Support root-cause analysis (RCA), corrective actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Implement and monitor quality control methodologies such as 5S, 7 QC tools, Kaizen, and Pareto analysis.

• Work closely with production, design, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues.

• Maintain records of quality results and generate reports for internal audits or customer audits.

• Assist in calibration and maintenance of measurement instruments.

• Participate in product testing and validation activities.

• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer requirements.

• Monitor defect trends and recommend preventive actions.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.

• Knowledge of quality tools: 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto, FMEA, Control Charts, etc.

• Experience with measuring instruments: Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, CMM (optional).

• Familiarity with quality systems and audits (ISO 9001 preferred).

• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC.

• Basic understanding of CAD tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).

• Exposure to lean manufacturing principles.

• Knowledge of supplier quality processes.
