Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Summary
Responsible for inspecting corrugated boxes at different stages of production to ensure they meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and packaging requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect raw materials, corrugated sheets, printed sheets, and finished boxes.
Check box dimensions, GSM, BF/ECT, ply, flute, and board quality.
Inspect printing quality, color, registration, cutting, creasing, slotting, and stitching/gluing.
Check for defects such as cracks, crushing, warping, poor pasting, improper folding, and print defects.
Perform regular quality checks during production and before dispatch.
Verify products against customer drawings, specifications, and approved samples.
Maintain quality inspection reports and records.
Identify non-conforming products and coordinate with production teams for corrective action.
Conduct basic quality tests such as compression, bursting strength, moisture, and edge crush tests where applicable.
Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and safety requirements.
Required Skills
Knowledge of corrugated box manufacturing and quality standards.
Understanding of paper, board, flute, GSM, BF, ECT, and box specifications.
Good observation and inspection skills.
Ability to use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, GSM cutter, weighing scale, and other QC equipment.
Basic documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with production and quality teams.
Experience
1–3 years of experience in corrugated box, paper packaging, or related manufacturing quality control is preferred.
Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.
Education
ITI/Diploma/12th standard or relevant technical qualification, depending on company requirements.
