Quality Control Engineer

Job Title: Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – Quality Control

Department: Quality Control (QC)
Location: Manufacturing Unit
Reports To: QC Manager / QC Head

Job Purpose

The Graduate Engineer Trainee – QC will support the Quality Control team in monitoring, inspecting, and improving product quality across manufacturing processes. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to quality systems, inspection techniques, and continuous improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in inspection and testing of incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods as per quality standards.

• Support in maintaining quality records, inspection reports, and documentation.

• Learn and follow Quality Control procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.

• Assist in identifying defects, non-conformities, and support root cause analysis.

• Coordinate with production teams to ensure quality compliance during manufacturing.

• Participate in internal audits, quality reviews, and corrective actions.

• Help in monitoring rejection, rework, and scrap data and prepare basic MIS reports.

• Support implementation of quality tools such as 7 QC tools, 5S, and Kaizen.

• Follow safety, housekeeping, and company quality policies at all times.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality concepts.

• Willingness to learn Quality Management Systems (QMS).

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and documentation.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Attention to detail and discipline in following procedures.

Educational Qualification

• BE / BTech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.

• Freshers or candidates with up to 0–2 years of experience can apply.

Training & Development

• On-the-job training in inspection methods, measuring instruments, and quality systems.

• Exposure to ISO standards, audits, and continuous improvement practices.

• Performance evaluation during the training period.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 0 - 1 years of experience.
